Creating a Website You Can Feel

Most product websites do one of two things.

They either overload you with options, turning the experience into a catalogue you have to work through… or they strip things back so far that you’re left wanting more. Especially when the product is something you’re supposed to feel, not just see.

Wall panels sit firmly in that space.

Because when you’re dealing with texture, depth, and character, a flat digital experience doesn’t quite cut it.

That was the challenge Muros brought to Hi Ho.

More Than Just a Product Directory

Muros isn’t short on credibility.

With over 30 years of global experience, their European-made, handcrafted wall panels are designed to bring aged character and texture into both commercial and residential spaces. Large format, lightweight, and carefully crafted, each panel is built to quite literally bring walls to life.

The problem wasn’t the product.

It was how to present it.

With a deep product portfolio spanning multiple categories, the website needed to do more than list options. It needed to inspire. To guide. To help people visualise how these panels would transform a space, not just sit on a page.

Designing for Texture, Not Just Layout

Hi Ho approached the website design with a clear intention.

Make it feel real.

The new Muros website leans heavily into imagery, using it not just as decoration, but as the primary storytelling tool. Close-up textures. Environmental shots. Details that let you almost imagine running your hand across the surface.

Because that’s how these products are experienced in the real world.

Navigation was kept simple and intuitive, allowing users to move through categories without friction, while still giving each product the space it deserves.

The result is a site that balances aspiration with usability.

Not just something to scroll through, but something to explore.

Built on WordPress, Done Properly

Under the surface, the platform needed to be just as considered.

WordPress was the natural choice. Flexible, widely supported, and powerful when built correctly. But like any platform, the difference comes down to how it’s implemented.

Hi Ho developed the Muros website following best-practice WordPress standards, ensuring it remains stable, secure, and fully compatible with ongoing WordPress updates. No fragile customisations. No reliance on outdated structures that break over time.

Just a clean, well-structured website build designed to last.

Equally important was usability on the client side.

Muros needed the ability to manage their own content. Adding new products, updating categories, refining information. All without needing to rely on an agency every time something changed.

So that’s exactly how it was built.

Simple where it needs to be. Powerful where it counts.

Bringing It All Together

The end result is a website that does justice to the product.

A platform that showcases the full breadth of the Muros range without overwhelming the user. One that feels considered, easy to navigate, and visually rich enough to communicate texture through a screen.

Because when the product is all about depth, character, and feel…

The website should be too.
